Tip: Prints arrive rolled. Remove from packaging and allow to breathe for 12-24 hours before fully flattening. Flatten by putting heavy objects on each corner (books, coffee mugs, and pint glasses all work well).

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Hi! I'm Tom Shaw, a printmaker and graphic designer based in Wilmington, North Carolina. My creative journey began in the music industry; first as a musician, and then crafting vibrant, hand-pulled concert posters and art prints for national touring and GRAMMY award-winning musicians including Widespread Panic, Trey Anastasio (Phish), Bruce Hornsby, Amos Lee, and many others.

Mapped & Charted is an inspired offshoot of that gig poster background. Blending minimalist graphic design techniques with authentic NOAA nautical charts and vintage maps, I craft distincitive map art celebrating locations around the world, from lighthouses and coastal landscapes to castles, national parks and city skylines.

As a committed 1% for the Planet partner, I allocate one percent of annual sales to environmental causes; after all, exploring maps and geography goes hand-in-hand with preserving our planet.
